Enterprise Wide is thrilled to mark the successful completion of the James Pascoe Group (JPG) SAP ERP NextGen Project – a major milestone in JPG’s digital transformation journey and one we are incredibly proud to have been a part of!
This program marks a significant step forward for JPG. JPG whose retail footprint spans over 650 stores across Australia and New Zealand, including Farmers, Pascoes, Stewart Dawsons, Whitcoulls, Stevens, Prouds, Goldmark and Angus & Coote.
Delivered on schedule and on budget, this program exemplifies true partnership in action. Migrating to SAP S/4HANA was no small feat – transforming nearly every part of the business while retaining many of the strengths built over years of innovation.
Together, we:
- Migrated core ERP functions from SAP ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4HANA Retail.
- Implemented Merchandise Planning for Retail and Customer Activity Repository (CAR) with POS integration.
- Enabled Store Mobility and enhanced in-store processes.
- Standardised business processes across all business units.
- Adopted a fit-to-standard approach to reduce customisation and simplify innovation.
- Delivered a Fiori-first user experience across business functions.
- Unified operations across stores, DCs, and head office through an integrated, modern platform.
- Deployed full SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) for a 92,000 sqm DC handling 50,000 products – enabling flow-through, cross-dock and automation integration across Big Ticket, Hung Apparel, and Flat product areas.
What makes this go-live especially remarkable is that the go-live date was set 14 months earlier and was achieved exactly as planned. A full big-bang deployment across the distribution centre, head office, and all stores went live simultaneously – a rare and impressive accomplishment that speaks volumes about the planning, discipline, and teamwork of both organisations.
Reflecting on the journey, David Lean, Group Head of IT at JPG, shared:
“The successful outcome of our SAP project is a testament to the extraordinary collaboration and expertise demonstrated by every party involved. Enterprise Wide, serving as our system integrator, played a crucial role throughout this transformation. Their hands-on support, deep industry insight, and clear alignment with our goals ensured that the process was both seamless and collaborative.
Equally, our own internal team showcased remarkable dedication and an impressive depth of business knowledge. Their commitment, proactive attitude, and resilience enabled us to overcome challenges and navigate the complexities of this transformation. A collaborative approach was pivotal to ensuring a smooth transition and achieving project milestones, which have been central to this landmark achievement.”
We couldn’t agree more! A huge thank-you to the JPG leadership and project teams for their commitment and collaboration – and to the Enterprise Wide team, who once again demonstrated what excellence, teamwork and partnership truly look like.
This project stands as a benchmark for teamwork, discipline, and shared success.
Congratulations to everyone involved — what an achievement!
